Dawnthorn armor is a piece of heavy armor in Dark Souls III: The Ringed City. It was created by the Lords of Cinder and requires 14 intelligence to equip.
“V Rising: How to Craft Dawnthorn Armor” is a guide that explains how to craft the Death armor set. The armor set includes an entire set of weapons and armor, as well as the ability to make your own custom gear.
Dawnthorn Armor is one of the most powerful armors in V Rising. It is a Level 7 gear set that is necessary to access the game’s toughest armor, the Level 8 Bloodmoon Armor.
Dawnthorn Armor is a difficult endeavor, but we’ll walk you through every step of the process in this tutorial.
In V Rising, here’s how to make Dawnthorn Armor.
Dawnthorn Armor, like other armor sets, is made up of four pieces: a chestguard, leggings, boots, and gloves, all of which need the same crafting materials:
- Scales: 160
- 12 Pristine Leather Handbags
- 8 skeins of ghost yarn
Each item may be created at a Tailoring Bench, but only when the blueprint for the armor has been unlocked. This is accomplished by defeating Octavian the Militia Captain, a Level 58 Blood Carrier situated in Dunley’s Bastion.
Because there is no shade in this boss arena, you’ll want to wait until nighttime to fight.
After defeating Octavian, you’ll have access to the Dawnthorn Armor blueprint, as well as a slew of other useful items.
As you’ll see momentarily, this is one of the many bosses in V Rising that you’ll need to defeat in order to get your Dawnthorn Armor. It’s now up to you to locate the crafting materials.
How Do I Get Scales?
If you’ve come to the point where you can take down a Level 58 Blood Carrier, you’ve probably amassed quite a collection of Scales. Smaller mobs drop these, and they’re easy to grind out in places like the Cursed Forest by fighting opponents for a short time. For the entire Dawnthorn set, you’ll need 640 Scales in total.
What is the Best Way to Get Pristine Leather?
Pristine Leather differs from regular leather in that it is made from Pristine Hides. To make each piece of Pristine Leather, you’ll need 15 Pristine Hides and some Fish Oil. Pristine Hides can be earned by killing werewolves, which isn’t especially difficult, but collecting the 720 Pristine Hides required for the entire Dawnthorn set will take some time.
Fish oil may be acquired in a variety of ways, but the most effective method is to catch fish and make it yourself. You’ll need a fishing rod for this, which you can only get if you fight Rufus the Foreman, a Level 20 monster in the Bandit Logging Camp.
You’ll also need the Devourer, which you may get after fighting Level 26 Lidia the Chaos Archer, who is located just northeast of Rufus. To turn your captures into Fish Oil, you’ll need to utilize the Devourer.
These two bosses should be a piece of cake if you’ve already fought Octavian. For four Coarse Thread, four Copper Ingots, and eight Planks, you can now make a fishing rod. Bring your fishing rod down to a creek and begin fishing, then bring your catch to the Devourer in the castle, who will transform it to Fish Oil for you.
You may utilize a tannery to make Pristine Leather after you have your Fish Oil and Pristine Hides.
How can I get Ghost Yarn?
You’ll need to fight several bosses to get this Dawnthorn Armor component, as you probably expected.
To get the Loom blueprint, you must first beat Beatrice the Tailor (Level 38), who will give you 12 Copper Ingots, 20 Planks, and four Wool Thread for 12 Copper Ingots, 20 Planks, and four Wool Thread. She’ll also offer you the recipe for Cotton Yarn. Dawnbreak Village is where you’ll find Beatrice.
Next, you must face Ungora the Spider Queen (Level 60), the most formidable of all the monsters you must beat in order to get this armor. She’ll offer you the pattern for the Ghost Yarn as prize if you find her in a cave in the Cursed Forest, which is at the far north end of the world map.
After you’ve killed both monsters, you’ll need to start stocking up on Ghost Shrooms and Cotton Yarn. Each Ghost Yarn requires four Cotton Yarn, which may be produced by weaving 15 Cotton through your Loom. Cotton may be obtained from any of the numerous cotton farms that can be found across V Rising’s terrain.
Each piece of Ghost Yarn requires eight Ghost Shrooms, which may be found strewn around the Cursed Forest.
With a Tailoring Bench with four Cotton Yarn and eight Ghost Shrooms, you can make a piece of Ghost Yarn.
To get one of these, you’ll need the blueprint from fighting Quincey the Bandit King in the Farebane Woods, which is highlighted on the map below. A Tailoring Bench may be made using 200 Blood Essence, 40 Planks, and 28 Cotton Yarn after they’ve been collected.
You’ll need 32 Ghost Yarn (equivalent to 128 Cotton Yarn or 1920 Cotton) and 256 Ghost Shrooms in total. After you’ve acquired all of the required materials, you may use your Tailoring Bench to create your Dawnthorn Armor.
Dawnthorn Armor has a total durability of 1119, making it the second most durable armor in V Rising, just behind Bloodmoon Armor. The chestguard offers the most health of all of the armor parts, therefore it should be your first focus. Following that, the leggings score 68.7, the boots 57.2, and the gloves 45.8.
