That’s right: Eagles quarterback Nick Foles has chosen to play an entire year in 2018.

Tom Brady’s four-time Super Bowl-winning New England Patriots teammate, and his closest confidant, has just revealed his intentions to play into his late 40s.

In a new interview with The MMQB, NFL Hall of Famer Tedy Bruschi said that Tom Brady is planning to keep playing until he’s 45 years old, which would make him the oldest player to ever start in the NFL.

Tom Brady has been adamant for years that he wants to play in the NFL until he is 45 years old. That may seem like an improbable objective for a quarterback, but he recently won his seventh Super Bowl at the age of 43, and he seems to be in better shape today than he was when he was 23.

Is anybody shocked if he continues to play until he is 50 years old?

But here’s the thing: in the NFL, Brady has achieved all there is to achieve. He might retire tomorrow and go down in history as the greatest quarterback of all time. Guerrero, Alex, Brady’s longtime trainer and closest confidant, is the only person who knows the truth about his retirement intentions. Guerrero revealed when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback would retire in a recent interview with Adam Schefter.

Tom Brady’s ambition has always been to play until he is 45 years old.

Brady would have given you the same response if you had questioned him about his retirement plans at any time in the past 20 years.

45.

It’s a high aim for an NFL quarterback, since most don’t even make it to 40 years old by the end of their careers. Brady, on the other hand, is unlike any other quarterback we’ve ever seen. He maintains peak physical condition at all times and is as dedicated to winning as anybody in sports today.

Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht suggested last month that Brady might play until he’s 50, but Brady wasn’t so sure.

“Fifty? That’s a significant amount of time. That’s a long time, even for me,” Brady told USA TODAY Sports. “I’ve always stated that 45 was the age I wanted to be when I grew up, and that was my objective… I’ll be able to play this year, and God forbid something occurs, but I’ll also be able to play next year and see what happens after that. I may be able to continue playing if I still want to. And if that’s all there is to it, then that’s all there is to it.”

So, although Brady’s aim is still 45, he seems to be leaving space for another season or two.

Alex Guerrero doubles down on Brady’s intentions to retire.

Alex Guerrero, Tom Brady’s personal trainer, life coach, and nutrition expert, believes the Buccaneers’ quarterback will play at least two more seasons, enabling him to achieve his objective of playing in the NFL until he is 45.

Guerrero is the only one who knows what Brady is truly thinking about when he retires.

Since the two met 15 years ago, Guerrero has been Brady’s personal trainer, business partner, and close friend. Brady verified what he has been telling supporters all along during a recent interview on The Adam Schefter Podcast.

I mean, I anticipate him playing this year and next.

I remember asking him how long he wanted to play for when we first met, and he replied 45 minutes. And I replied, “Great, then that’s what we’ll do.” So I believe the greatest achievement for me would be if we make it to age 45, because that was his objective, and I think it will be the happiest moment for me, to be able to say, “Hey, we really did it.” One of your objectives was to play until 45 minutes, which we accomplished.’ As a result, it will be a proud occasion.

But why stop there if Brady continues to play at a high level and leads the Buccaneers to playoff success?

Guerrero keeps the possibility of Brady playing beyond 45 minutes open.

Few anticipated Brady to still be winning Super Bowls and leading the NFL at 43 years old. However, the more people question him, the better he performs.

Guerrero is well aware of this, and he is not shocked if Brady continues to throw it until his late 40s.

“I know that I want to keep my commitment to him by assisting him in achieving his objective. “It’s not an issue if his objective shifts,” Guerrero added. “Great if he says, ‘Hey, I believe I’m going to call it a day.’ It’s no issue. That is something I wholeheartedly endorse. However, in my mind, I’m attempting to prepare him to do so. Two years ago, I was thinking about this year. I make an effort to maintain his body three years ahead of where we’ll be. So I’m not only thinking about next year, but also, ‘What if he feels so fantastic at 45 that he wants to play at 46?’ I’m not sure, so I’d best prepare.”

Let’s not fool ourselves about this. When Brady is 50 years old, he will pass for 400 yards and four touchdowns in the Super Bowl and then resign during his MVP speech after earning his tenth ring.

Because it’s Tom Brady, bleeping Brady, bleeping Brady, bleeping Brady, bleeping
