The AFC West and NFC West are on the verge of a historic milestone. For the first time in 50 years, both divisions have identical records at the midpoint of the season.

The derek carr age is a milestone that has not happened in 50 years. The Raiders are the first team to win their division after starting 0-10 since the NFL merger.

In the early weeks of the NFL season, it’s difficult to know what to anticipate. Because the NFL has the longest offseason of any major American professional sports league, a lot may happen between the Super Bowl and the next season.

Because it is unexpected, the opening week of the regular season is entertaining to watch. This was shown once again in 2021, when the AFC West and NFC West accomplished something in the NFL’s first week that has not occurred in 50 years. Derek Carr and the Raiders may thank Derek Carr and the Raiders for a portion of it.

Through Week 1, both the AFC West and the NFC West were unbeaten.

The Raiders completed a perfect weekend for the NFC West and AFC West with their Week 1 victory. Both divisions started the season with a 4-0 record. According to ESPN, this is the first time that several divisions have had all of their clubs win their opening game of the season since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger.

The Chargers and Broncos both won road games against NFC East opponents in the AFC West. The Chiefs defeated the Browns 33-29 at home, completing a late comeback. The Cardinals, 49ers, and Seahawks all had outstanding road victories in the NFC West. The Seahawks scored the fewest points in the group with 28.

The Rams, the only surviving NFC West club, easily defeated the Chicago Bears at home on Sunday Night Football. The teams opened SoFi Stadium to spectators for the first time in the regular season with a 34-14 victory.

Which Western clubs are likely to have good seasons?

Winning the opening game of the season enthuses a team’s supporters. But, particularly now that the NFL has a 17-game regular season, it doesn’t ensure success throughout the year. The Chiefs will almost certainly finish with the best record among the AFC West teams who won their openers. Patrick Mahomes is one of the greatest quarterbacks in the NFL.

If second-year quarterback Justin Herbert can build on his excellent rookie season, the Chargers might have a successful season. Despite having a 2-0 record through Week 2, Broncos and Raiders supporters are not as hopeful. Despite the team’s Week 2 defeat, Seahawks supporters have high hopes for Russell Wilson to lead Seattle to a winning record in the NFC West.

The quarterback situations of the other NFC West teams are more concerning. With rookie Trey Lance behind veteran Jimmy Garoppolo on the depth chart, the 49ers are on precarious footing. With Kyler Murray passing to receiving weapons like DeAndre Hopkins, the Cardinals may have the best quarterback of the three teams. Matthew Stafford was acquired by the Rams in the offseason, and the team is hoping that a change of scenery would help the long-time Lion. So far, everything has gone well.
