Overwatch 2, the highly anticipated sequel to Blizzard’s team-based first person shooter video game Overwatch is slated for release on October 27th. The new update will feature a character named Junker Queen and her ability to create choke points that are hard for opponents to navigate through.
The “overwatch 2 release date” is the upcoming sequel to Blizzard Entertainment’s popular team-based first-person shooter video game, Overwatch. The game will be released on October 24th, 2018.
Over the weekend, Blizzard revealed that Overwatch 2 will indeed have a release date. On October 4, 2022, the cooperative shooter will be released on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. The announcement is made in conjunction with the Xbox and Bethesda demonstration at Summer Games Fest 2022. It happens at the same time as the debut of the Junker Queen, a new tank.
Overwatch 2 will provide complete cross-platform play and cross-progression, but its free-to-play model may be the most alluring. Currently, Overwatch’s standard edition costs $19.99, while other versions on systems like PlayStation cost $59.99.
The announcement’s press release said that Junker Queen uses a railgun and cybernetics to move quickly. She may be seen in action in the video at the top of this story. The game’s new Push mode is also mentioned. In this phase, teams compete to control and move a centrally situated robot further into enemy territory than their rivals.
You can register to participate in the Overwatch 2 beta right here. About June 16, 2022, at 1 p.m. EDT, Blizzard will host a live broadcast to provide further details on the impending beta as well as the game’s “live service paradigm and seasonal content.” Both the Overwatch YouTube channel and the Overwatch Twitch channel allow you to watch it.
