Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and other NBA stars have been getting a lot of attention for their play this season. Magic Johnson used his Twitter account to stick up for LeBron James from the backlash that followed the Lakers’ loss to the Warriors on Monday night.

The where is kevin durant from is a tweet that was posted by the NBA legend Magic Johnson. In the tweet, he takes shots at Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and other NBA stars.

The biggest argument in the NBA right now is who the league’s greatest player is now, as LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers approaches retirement. Is it Kevin Durant, or is it someone else? Is it Giannis Antetokounmpo, or someone else? What about Nikola Jokic, the current MVP?

The solution is obvious for NBA great Magic Johnson, who recently put everyone in their place with a single tweet.

LeBron James and Magic Johnson recently attended the same NFL game.

While the NBA season is just around the horizon, the NFL season is already in full swing, and two Lakers icons, LeBron James and Magic Johnson, attended a game (what seemed to be) together.

James posted a picture of the two during the Los Angeles Chargers-Dallas Cowboys game in Week 2, along with the crown and wand emojis to represent The King and Magic.

Fortunately for them, the game turned out to be very excellent as well, as Dallas won 20-17 on a 56-yard field goal with time remaining.

Johnson, on the other hand, posted a picture of himself with James, along with a witty message.

In one tweet, Magic Johnson praised LeBron James while simultaneously putting KD, Giannis, and others in their place.

Given that LeBron James has missed two of the past three seasons with the Lakers due to injury, and that he will be 37 in December, many fans and analysts believe he is no longer the greatest player in the NBA.

Two-time NBA champion Kevin Durant, reigning Finals MVP and two-time league MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, or reigning league NBA MVP Nikola Jokic are the leading candidates for the title. However, Johnson made it plain in a tweet after the Chargers-Cowboys game that he still believes James is the best player in the league.

“Today I’m hanging out with the best player in the game, @KingJames!” Johnson shared the same picture James did on Twitter.

Magic, of course, is a bit skewed. James is a Lakers legend who now plays with the team. Johnson was even a member of the team’s front office when The King was brought to LA.

But Magic Johnson is a basketball legend, and the main message from his tweet is clear: LeBron James is still the greatest player in the game, according to him.

Some people disagree with Magic Johnson’s assessment of LeBron James.

Magic Johnson’s opinion carries a lot of weight since he was a 12-time All-Star, five-time NBA champion, and three-time MVP throughout his career. When it comes to this subject, however, not everyone agrees with him.

In August, ESPN polled ten scouts and executives, and none of them offered James even a first-place vote. Durant and Antetokounmpo tied for first place, prompting James to jokingly tweet that he’s “#SuperWashed.” “THANK YOU!” he also wrote. As if I didn’t already have enough to [fuel] ME! (crown emoji) #Washed

But who is correct? Is Johnson right in his assessment? Or do these other experts have a point when they claim he’s no longer the best player?

It’s difficult to argue with LBJ. When he was healthy, he was still a force to be reckoned with. With 25.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, and an NBA-leading 10.2 assists in 2019-20, the 17-time All-Star might have earned MVP before guiding the Lakers to a championship that year.

Before missing time due to injury, James averaged 25.8 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 8.0 assists per game while leading the Lakers to a 28-13 record. It’s difficult to believe he and Anthony Davis wouldn’t have made another run to the NBA Finals if they had remained healthy.

Overall, the only factor that should prevent James from being ranked as the best player is his health. After only appearing in 55 games in 2018-19, he only appeared in 45 games last season. If The King is able to remain on the court in 2021-22, everyone who opposes Johnson now may have to acknowledge they’re wrong.

When he’s healthy, James is still the best player in the NBA.
