Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s net worth is $560 million, but making $5,000 at a time is what matters now. Mayweather was a king in 2007, when he earned $100 million in one fight against Oscar De La Hoya. By 2010, he had already amassed more than $200 million. His 2011 match against Canelo Alvarez was the most lucrative fight of all time, with total earnings topping $300 million. Now the 41-year-old boxer is at the top of his game, earning $5 million for a fight against Robert Guerrero later this year.

Floyd Mayweather, Jr., is perhaps the most controversial boxer of all time. He’s a champion for all the wrong reasons and won’t be winning a lot of popularity contests. His penchant for fights with fellow boxers is what started it all: he “kicked the crap out of” Ricky Hatton in 2007 and then knocked on the door of Manny Pacquiao. Since then, the pound-for-pound champion has been involved in a lot of scraps. Mayweather’s most notable fight, aside from being a pay-per-view event, was against Oscar De La Hoya, who has been a polarizing figure in boxing for years. His ultimate defeat at the hands of De La Hoya has left a lot of people wondering if

As he nears the end of his boxing career, Floyd Mayweather Jr. has as many things to be proud of as he’s ever had in his life. First, he’s making millions of dollars from endorsements. Second, he’s making millions of dollars from the fight game itself. Third, he’s set to inherit a big chunk of his father’s fortune, which is said to be anywhere from $100 to $300 million.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been a money machine since he divorced Bob Arum 15 years ago and launched his own boxing career. The undefeated champion succeeded in the ring, wisely managed his career outside the ring, and created a bank account few athletes could match.

This raises the question of why Mayweather’s net worth, which a year ago was estimated at $560 million, has recently increased by $65 million due to the fight’s cancellation.

Floyd Mayweather has set a goal of $1 million

Natural talent and the discipline to train hard to maximize that talent are fundamental to a successful career. Drive and determination are also part of the equation, and this may help to understand Mayweather’s obsessive desire to become the first man to cross the financial threshold.

I want to be the first celebrity to win a million dollars on Cameo, Mayweather says on the site’s promotional page.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Cameo.com is a startup that has tripled its valuation to $1 billion by raising $100 million in new capital this year. The WSJ also reported that the company will reach $100 million in revenue by 2020. Many actors, musicians and reality TV stars donate a portion of their fees to charity.

The site, which launched in 2017, allows fans to order custom video messages created by their heroes. It could be anything from Brett Favre wishing a Green Bay Packers fan a happy birthday for $400 to UFC announcer Bruce Buffer announcing the arrival of a newborn for $349.

For the more frugal customers, NASCAR driver Austin Dillon will accept a $55 notice, former heavyweight champion Buster Douglas a $60 notice and ESPN’s Bomani Jones a $70 notice.

And then there’s Mayweather. This is the man who took it to a whole new level – and did it more than once.

Floyd Mayweather now takes $5,000

Mayweather signed with Cameo.com in 2020, which offers a video option for $499. At the time, he also offered upgrades, including a genuine gold shirt and a set of signed lithographs, for $999 and $1,499, respectively.

At some point, Mayweather changed his marketing approach and decided to stick with the more traditional personalized videos offered by thousands of other celebrities on the site. He did it in classic Mayweather style: In an effort to win $1 million, Mayweather raised his price to $1,000, making him the most expensive option on the site.

Now he’s done it again. At one point this year, Mayweather increased his fee to $5,000.

There’s only one thing left to do. You know what to do, Mayweather tells visitors to his site.

By comparison, the most expensive celebrities after Mayweather are Sikh-Canadian teacher/singer Gurdeep Ponder ($2,000), Kevin O’Leary of Shark Tank ($1,500) and rapper Buzi Badazz ($1,500).

Other sports stars who asked for $1,000 were suspended NBA player Michael Beasley, New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton and Kansas City Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill.

I don’t know if anyone ordered a $5000 video of Mayweather. If so, let’s hope he can impress the buyers better than Logan Paul did in their practice game.

What’s next for the man with the 50-0 record?

Mayweather has already made over a billion dollars in his life, so he can cross that off his list. It could be argued that agreeing to an eight-round fight against Paul in June 2021 suggests that Mayweather, 44, has run out of ideas about how he wants to spend his retirement.

The latest speculation is that Mayweather is trying to lure him into a fight with Oscar De La Hoya, who is also retired. De La Hoya, who has not fought since 2008 when he lost to Manny Pacquiao, has agreed to a practice fight against MMA veteran Vitor Belfort on the 11th. September 2018 agreed, after which he would like to challenge Mayweather, according to DAZN.

Mayweather previously defeated De La Hoya by split decision in 2007. Unless he suddenly feels the need to try and make $2 billion, it’s hard to imagine a rematch.
