5 stars do not always align with 5-star football. Bill Belichick is the New England Patriots’ head coach, yet without Tom Brady at quarterback he has been able to win a lot of games and become one of the most successful coaches in NFL history.

The “bill belichick didn t want tom brady” is a belief that Bill Belichick was motivated to win without Tom Brady. This is because the Patriots were able to sign players such as Brandin Cooks and Stephon Gilmore, who have been productive for New England.

Ex-Patriots Star Believes Bill Belichick Motivated to Win Without Tom Brady

Bill Belichick and Tom Brady have a long history together. The New England Patriots become a true dynasty because to the renowned quarterback-coach tandem. For over two decades, the team has been a constant Super Bowl contender. The streak, like all good things, came to an end ultimately.

Brady then joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he helped them win the Super Bowl in his first season. In the meanwhile, Belichick’s team had their first losing season since 2000.

LeGarrette Blount, a former Patriots running back, says TB12’s success elsewhere has left a huge chip on his former coach’s shoulder.

Bill Belichick wants to keep coaching to win without Tom Brady, according to LeGarrette Blount.

Many sports fans like a good storyline. The people couldn’t agree on who was more responsible for New England’s success throughout the years in the instance of Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. Brady, on the other hand, demonstrated his worth by leading the Buccaneers to the Super Bowl in 2020.

Belichick’s post-Tom Brady era hasn’t gotten off to the best start. Cam Newton was signed by the Patriots before the 2020 season. Many people were curious as to how Newton would fit into the system. It turned out to be an unsuccessful experiment in the end. In 2021, everything went considerably better, but the season ended in disappointment.

LeGarrette Blount, a former Patriots great running back, recently commented on Belichick’s coaching future in New England.

Blount told NBC Sports, “I believe Bill is locked in, and he’s going to remain locked in for as long as he can.” Darren Hartwell is from Boston. “For as long as he needs to find someone he trusts to take over the reins.” I know he won’t be the one to pick the next head coach, but I’m certain he’ll be involved in the process. They’d be a fool if they didn’t.”

Blount also explained why he believes his old mentor is still very driven to teach at the age of 69.

“I believe he’ll be gone for a long,” the Super Bowl champion tailback continued. “At least until he shows he doesn’t need 12 [Brady].”

Brady’s excellence was shown in Tampa Bay, where he thrived.

Many people were astonished when Tom Brady signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before the 2020 season. It was logical to think he’d be a lifer after giving so much to Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots for 20 seasons. But the three-time MVP had other ideas.

During the regular season, Brady guided the Bucs to an 11-5 record. The Buccaneers then defeated the Washington Redskins, New Orleans Saints, and Green Bay Packers on their way to the Super Bowl. TB12 outplayed Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, passing for 201 yards and three touchdowns.

The future Hall of Famer could have retired after winning the championship, but his competitive nature forced him to return for one more season.

Brady, who is 44 years old, had one of his most successful campaigns to date. With a 67.5 percent completion rate, he piled up 5,316 throwing yards, 43 touchdowns, and just six interceptions. In terms of completions, passing yards, and touchdowns, the 15-time Pro Bowler topped the league.

Despite the fact that Tampa Bay failed to repeat, Tom Brady beat the odds and cemented his reputation by leading another team to the summit.

How far can Mac Jones take the Patriots?

Bill Belichick, according to LeGarrette Blount, is still motivated by Tom Brady’s success with the Buccaneers despite his retirement from football.

After the separation, Brady had greater success than his previous coach. The New England Patriots, on the other hand, seem to be on the right track. Following a 7-9 finish in 2020, Belichick’s team finished second in the AFC East with a 10-7 record.

The Patriots secured a wild-card slot, but their season was cut short in the Wild Card Round by the Buffalo Bills, who crushed them 47-17. Still, the 2021 season provided Belichick with some reasons to be optimistic in the future, including rookie quarterback Mac Jones.

With his debut season in New England, Jones passed for 3,801 yards, 22 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions. At one time, he was a genuine contender for Rookie of the Year. Down the stretch, though, he struck the rookie wall. Nonetheless, in 2021, the Alabama product was by far the finest rookie quarterback.

Jones has a season grade of 79.3 from Pro Football Focus. Because the Patriots have a strong defense and a strong rushing offense, Bill Belichick didn’t expect much from the 23-year-old. He did, however, show glimpses of potential.

Jones won’t be able to avoid comparisons to Tom Brady while playing in New England. Nobody will ever be able to match the seven-time Super Bowl champion. Nonetheless, this is a fantastic chance for Belichick to work with another young quarterback and maybe win with him.
