The Astros are the first team in MLB history to win a series after losing game one. Yordan Alvarez hit two home runs and drove in four runs in game five, becoming the first player ever to drive in at least four runs in a single game without recording an extra-base hit.

The yordan alvarez stats is a player that just joined Carlos Correa in icon territory thanks to a massive game 5 performance.

The Houston Astros are one victory away from reaching their third World Series in as many years, and they owe it all to their scorching offense.

Houston scored five runs in the first game against the Boston Red Sox, nine runs in the fourth game, and nine more runs in the fifth game. Despite the fact that Boston entered the ALCS with a lot of momentum, they’ve been beaten by Houston’s powerful middle-of-the-order on many occasions.

Chris Sale is the latest Boston pitcher to succumb to the Astros’ potent offense, surrendering four runs in only 5.1 innings of work in Game 5.

For the Astros, Yordan Alvarez is developing into a star.

For many years, the Astros have had a star-studded lineup. The Astros’ continuous ability to select and nurture great talent has kept them on top, thanks to Jose Altuve, Michael Brantley, Alex Bregman, Carlos Correa, and George Springer (who is currently with the Toronto Blue Jays).

When you combine it with a pitching staff that has included Justin Verlander, Gerrit Cole, Zack Greinke, and Lance McCullers Jr., it’s easy to see why Houston has dominated the American League for so long.

While the Astros’ regular suspects have had their moments this playoffs, a new, much younger face is rapidly establishing himself as the team’s next great playoff player.

Yordan Alvarez, a designated hitter, is showing to everyone why he’s the future face of Houston at the age of 24.

On an illustrious list, Alvarez was joined by Carlos Correa.

This playoffs, Alvarez is hitting.367 with a 1.121 OPS. In 30 at-bats, he’s hit two home runs and driven in eight runs. He went one step farther during the Astros’ Game 5 victory against the Red Sox, carving his name in Houston baseball history.

Alvarez joins Carlos Correa as the only Astros player 24 years or younger to have three hits and three RBIs in a single playoff game with his three hits and three RBIs (one home run). Correa did it on two times, to be sure (he truly is the king of October baseball). However, Alvarez’s achievement is still a huge accomplishment.

Alvarez is just in his third season in the majors, and he was forced to miss the whole 2020 season due to knee surgery. What he is doing is incredible.

The Astros have a strong odor of blood.

Leaving Fenway with a 3-2 series lead is a fantastic position for the Astros to be in, and you can bet they’re already dreaming about a World Series trip.

The Astros are probably confident in their chances of winning the World Series, with the Atlanta Braves presently leading the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-1. The Braves are playing well, but the Astros are a more well-rounded club from top to bottom.

Despite their regular success, the Astros haven’t won a World Series since 2017. They’re desperate to go back to the big game.
