When the Green Bay Packers traded for Drew Brees a couple of seasons ago, it was probably the most controversial move in their history. As a result of this trade, the Packers have had one of the best quarterbacks of all time on their team, but when you look at their records since Brees joined the team, it’s hard to say that he’s been that much of an upgrade.

Aaron Rodgers has made a lot of money in his career. He just signed a 5-year, $134.25 million contract extension that will keep him in Green Bay through 2023. But Rodgers’ ultimate goal is to surpass Drew Brees in terms of career earnings and net worth. Rodgers thinks he will do it.

Mike Neal, a former Packers teammate of Aaron Rodgers, thinks the Green Bay quarterback will make the Hall of Fame in the next 5 years. Like Brees, Rodgers is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, but the two quarterbacks are not the same type of player. Rodgers is not just the best quarterback, he’s the best player in the National Football League.

Another great quarterback may join a new club very soon. Following Tom Brady’s Super Bowl victory with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season, there’s a possibility Aaron Rodgers may not play for the Green Bay Packers next season.

Of course, no one knows for sure, but Rodgers’ old colleague believes that in 2022, he will play for Drew Brees’ New Orleans Saints, the former club of another all-time great quarterback.

The future of Aaron Rodgers with the Packers is uncertain.

The most talked-about topic in the NFL this offseason was whether Aaron Rodgers will return to the Packers in 2021.

Rodgers’ connection with Green Bay has been the subject of rumors for months, and the reigning NFL MVP has never acknowledged or denied them. Fans were basically left to assume that the stories were at least partially true.

There was, as it turned out.

Rodgers arrived at training camp at the end of July and held a news conference to vent his grievances with the Packers. One of his major concerns is that he just wants to participate in personnel discussions. He has also expressed dissatisfaction with the way the organization has handled players when they leave Green Bay.

Despite the fact that he is presently training for the 2021 season, Rodgers seemed uncertain if the Packers would alter their methods, leading to rumors that he might play for another club in 2022.

Rodgers’ reworked contract may also hint to that, as his $46.1 million salary cap charge for the 2022 season implies he’ll either be moved or get a contract extension following this season, according to ESPN.

So, where would Rodgers go if the Packers did trade him? His ex-teammate has a brilliant idea.

His old colleague believes he’ll join the Saints.

Drew Brees, the famous quarterback of the New Orleans Saints, has announced his retirement after the 2020 season. They must now find out how to replace the guy who won them a Super Bowl and ranks No. 1 in passing yards and No. 2 in passing touchdowns in NFL history.

Will Blackmon, Rodgers’ former teammate who played defensive back for the Packers from 2006 to 2009 before going on to play for the New York Giants, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Washington Football Team, recently spoke about his friendship with Rodgers. In addition, he projected where he would play in 2022.

Blackmon told TMZ Sports, “Aaron and I got along well, and we still get along great, and we still speak once in a while.” “I’ve never had a problem with him. As a buddy, and as a colleague, I adore him. He’ll always be my favorite quarterback.”

“If Jameis [Winston] doesn’t get it done next year, Aaron Rodgers will be a New Orleans Saint,” he added.

It’s unknown if Blackmon has spoken to Rodgers about the issue, but if they are still friends, it’s intriguing to learn that he believes his former quarterback will wind up in New Orleans.

On the Saints, Aaron Rodgers would be fantastic.

According to NFL.com, the New Orleans Saints and 2019 first-team All-Pro receiver Michael Thomas are presently feuding. It comes after it was revealed that Thomas would miss the start of the 2021 season due to an ankle ailment.

If both parties can come to an agreement, Rodgers will have a loaded squad to choose from in 2022 if he signs with the Saints.

Thomas has established himself as one of the greatest receivers in the NFL, and Alvin Kamara has established himself as one of the best pass catchers. They were both big for Brees in his last years, and they might be deadly with Rodgers at the helm. New Orleans also boasts a strong defense, which would prevent the offense from needing to score every time the ball is touched.

Teddy Bridgewater and Taysom Hill both won games for the Saints the last two seasons, proving that they can win with a variety of quarterbacks. With Rodgers on the roster, New Orleans would be immediate Super Bowl favorites.

If Blackmon’s prediction comes true, Rodgers may follow in the footsteps of Tom Brady and Peyton Manning by winning a Super Bowl while playing for a different club. It would be entertaining to see, and it would be the ideal way for Rodgers to get vengeance on the Packers.
